What are the aluminium sticks for?

All Draumr hammocks come with two aluminium sticks that slot into small pockets at the head and foot end of the hammock. The sticks lift the bug net and stretch out the fabric, giving you a more open, spacious feel in the hammock. The hammock works fine without them too – and if you've left the sticks at home, sticks of a suitable length that you find in nature will do the same job.

The Draumr Double comes with two pairs of aluminium sticks, one for each “bed”.
