Sleeping pads for Draumr
How the hammock becomes a bed
Every Draumr hammock is made for inflatable sleeping pads. Together with the hammock, the pad gives you a flat, firm bed – and it insulates you from the cool air below, so you don't need an underquilt. The pad sits in its own pocket and stays in place all night.
Choose your Draumr
Which pad fits your hammock?
All Draumr hammocks need rectangular, inflatable pads with lengthwise air channels. The size you need depends on the model and length – choose yours below.
Draumr 5.0 – one pad, same length as the hammock
The pad fills the hammock and stretches it out flat. Our Fjøl pads fit perfectly – or use a pad you already have, if it has the same size and shape.
Pad: 198 × 65 × 9 cm
Standard length – for you up to 180 cm
Pad: 220 × 65 × 9 cm
For you 180–210 cm. An XL hammock must have a 220 cm pad.
Draumr Ultralight – same pads as Draumr 5.0
Ultralight takes exactly the same pad sizes as Draumr 5.0. Want to keep the whole setup light? Fjøl Ultralight is the natural match.
Pad: 198 × 65 × 9 cm
Standard length – for you up to 180 cm
Pad: 220 × 65 × 9 cm
For you 180–210 cm. An XL hammock must have a 220 cm pad.
Draumr Double – two LW pads side by side
Draumr Double has a pad pocket for each of you. Use two LW pads – they don't have to be the same model, for example a Winterlight for the one who sleeps cold.
Pads: 2 × 198 × 65 × 9 cm
One LW pad each
Already have Fjøl XL pads? They work in Draumr Double too – just fold the foot end down into the pocket. See how in the video.

Common questions
Why does Draumr need an inflatable pad?
The pad does two jobs. It stiffens the hammock into a flat, spacious bed – no pressure points on shoulders, hips or heels. And it insulates you from below: in a hammock your sleeping bag is squeezed flat underneath you, so it can't keep you warm on its own.
Do I need an underquilt?
No. The pad keeps you warm from below, and the pad pocket traps extra warm air around it. It's also simpler and cheaper to adjust than an underquilt: switch to a warmer pad, or add a thin foam pad in the pocket on cold nights.
How warm a pad do I need?
It depends on when you camp and whether you sleep warm or cold. Look at the R-value: the higher it is, the warmer the pad. As a rule, choose a warm enough pad – staying warm from below keeps you warmer overall, and it's easy to cool down by opening your sleeping bag.
Do pads with air channels across work?
Usually not very well. Lengthwise channels stretch the hammock out flat, while channels across often give an uneven bed. Some especially firm pads work – search for yours in the pad check above.
Can I use XL pads in Draumr Double?
Yes. Draumr Double is made for two LW pads, but XL pads work too – fold the foot end down into the pocket. See how in the video.
Can I use the pad in a tent or on the ground?
Yes. Fjøl works just as well in a tent, on the ground or as an extra bed at home. Use a groundsheet under it outdoors, and let it dry before you store it.
How do I inflate the pad?
Every Fjøl comes with a pump bag, so you don't have to blow it up yourself. See how it works.
Is a pad included with Draumr?
No – you choose the pad yourself, or use one you already have. When you buy a Fjøl together with a Draumr hammock, the pad is 10 % off.
Ready for a flat night outside?
Choose your Draumr and build the set with the right pad and tarp – in one go.
