Skjold 10 and 13
Our new lightweight Skjold tarp series includes two models - Skjold 10 and Skjold 13 - both in a dark green color. They offer reliable protection against sun, wind, rain and snow. Skjold 10 covers approximately 10 square meters, while Skjold 13 spans around 13 square meters - hence their names.
Choosing Between Skjold 10 and Skjold 13
Skjold 10 vs Skjold 13 - size comparison. To make it easier to see the difference, we used the older grey version of Skjold 10 (green tarps on top of each other made it tricky).
Both tarps are made from the same lightweight fabric and come as complete kits. Each includes a roomy stuff sack, our new innovative guyline holders, six aluminum stakes, and color-coded carabiners for a quicker, easier setup.
Skjold 10
- Lightest weight and most compact when packed.
- Even quicker to set up than Skjold 13.
- Needs less distance between trees.
- Provides solid coverage on its own or with Draumr hammocks - though with slightly less space for cooking or gear storage under the tarp.
Skjold 13
- More room under cover - often a good idea.
- Extra protection from wind and weather.
- Includes “doors” for better side coverage.
